Oracle announced on 6 August 2024 that its second public cloud region in the Kingdom, in Riyadh, was open, as part of a $1.5 billion investment. The region joins Jeddah, with a NEOM region and a Dammam facility planned, and Oracle partnered with stc on a sovereign cloud for government.
Oracle's separate Mostaqbali program, launched in December 2023, aims to train and certify 50,000 Saudis in AI and cloud technologies by 2027.
