The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) published version 2.0 of its AI Ethics Principles on 14 September 2023. The framework rests on seven principles: fairness, privacy and security, humanity, social and environmental benefits, reliability and safety, transparency and explainability, and accountability and responsibility.
It applies to public, private and non-profit entities that design, develop, deploy or use AI in the Kingdom and is meant to be applied across the AI project lifecycle. It remains guidance rather than binding law.
