The 2024 UN E-Government Survey placed Saudi Arabia in the 'Very High' category, sixth worldwide in the E-Government Development Index (EGDI), up 25 places from 31st in 2022, and fourth globally on the Online Service Index. Riyadh ranked third among 193 cities on local online services.

Communications Minister Abdullah Alswaha credited Vision 2030 for the progress.
