DataVolt and HUMAIN launched construction of a 100 MW AI data center at Oxagon in NEOM, the first part of a 360 MW phase of the campus, with the first 100 MW expected to be available in 2028. The project was announced at LEAP 2026, MEED reported on 1 September, and the wider campus is planned to reach 1.5 GW.
HUMAIN CEO Tareq Amin said construction was under way, and DataVolt CEO Rajit Nanda called the groundbreaking an important milestone. The facility is to use renewable energy, advanced cooling and subsea cable links to Europe and Africa.
