On 31 August 2026, during LEAP 2026, it said the region will be available to customers in November 2026.
An IDC study cited by Microsoft estimates that Microsoft, its partners and customers will generate about $44 billion in new revenues for the Saudi economy between 2027 and 2030 (the region itself about 13.4% of that) and around 100,000 new jobs. The region follows the $2.1 billion commitment announced at LEAP 2023.
