President Trump and the Crown Prince announced a new AI memorandum of understanding during their White House meeting on 18 November 2025, which gives Saudi Arabia access to US technology systems with protections against use by adversaries. The two countries also set a framework on critical minerals for chips and batteries, and Trump said advanced-chip export licenses were being approved.
