Saudi venture firm STV announced an AI fund backed by Google and sized by STV at $100 million. The fund will invest in early-stage AI-native startups across the Middle East and North Africa, focusing on the application layer, localized models and supporting infrastructure. STV said AI startups received only 1.5% of MENA venture funding in 2024, versus 38% in the US.
