In June 2025 the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) launched the National Data Center Strategy, targeting up to 1.5 gigawatts of data center capacity by 2030, one of the Middle East's largest planned national builds. The strategy stresses foreign investment, localization partnerships and public-private collaboration. HUMAIN's own 2030 target of 1.9 GW is higher than the national figure.
